A Painting With a Story

I was sitting by the side of a quiet country road, lost in this piece, when a few cars passed by. I didn't think much of it at the time. A few weeks later, I heard that a friend of mine — who owns the farm — had been contacted by several neighbours to report that "there was a strange woman sitting looking into his field." 😂 God, how right they were!

That afternoon produced one of my favourite paintings. The vibrant autumn colours simply lift the spirit. Whatever the weather outside, you can't help but feel happy when you look at this piece. I named it Take Shelter Here — and I think it will bring someone real joy.
